Meet our Staff

Tony Cruz-McLeod, DMD

“I graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now known as Rutgers School of Dental Medicine) and completed a General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital Center in my hometown of Brooklyn, New York.  During my residency, I came across many patients with various dental phobias.  I have dedicated myself to implementing gentle and efficient techniques to dispel these fears.  I take great pride in my profession, and as such I stay current on the latest dental technologies and advancements.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy exercising, trying different restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.   Since relocating to the Hudson Valley, my wife and I enjoy visiting local landmarks and experiencing everything this area has to offer.”

“I have been a hygienist for almost 20 years at this office. I have spent those years treating the greatest patients I could ever ask for. I am privileged for the opportunity to continue to provide each patient with the ability to have a totally healthy mouth. I’m very excited to be a part of  the Bright Smiles of Beacon Team with Dr Cruz. It is very gratifying for me to know that here we as a team are very passionate about providing our patients with the highest quality of treatment while in a calm and caring atmosphere.

I have been married for just about 20 years as well. I am also the proud mother of three amazing children whom bring me joy daily. When I am not in the office I spend my time either at a dance studio, a ball field, or within the comfort of our home. I love spending time with our family and friends, being on the beach, and warm sunny days.”

Dinene Manz, RDH, BA- Hygienist

“I have been a Dental Hygienist since 1989 and have been practicing part time in this office since 2006.  I received my Dental Hygiene Anesthesia License in 2004 which allows me to administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia injections.  I am very excited to work along a great team under Dr. Cruz’s direction.  I treat all of my patients as if they were my family members and consider you as such.  I take pride on educating my patients on how they can achieve overall health.

I have been married to Patrick for over 22 years and our daughter will be entering her second year of college.  In my spare time I enjoy watching and playing baseball especially with my New York Yankee family.  In addition I love to garden, hanging with friends and family.”

“I joined this amazing practice in 2014 as a dental assistant.  Since then, I’ve grown to have the title of office manager.  I am very excited to be working with Dr. Cruz and the Bright Smiles team.  I love coming to work knowing that we give our patients exceptional oral care.  I am very grateful to be the first face you see when you walk through our doors.

When I am not in the office, I am home with my two beautiful children and my husband of 3 years.  We enjoy the beach, the walkway over the Hudson, and spending time with close friends and family.”

“I have been a dental assistant for over 20 years.  I am a people person and I love working with and learning about our patients.  This profession is so interesting; each patient has a different need, a different story, and a different case.  The combination of working with such great patients and such great coworkers is very fulfilling.

In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, biking, hiking, entertaining guests and spending time with my husband and three children, ages 23, 18, and 14.”
